Reunion, 2004

Thoughts, Memories, Reflections

"In everyone's life, at sometime, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit."

...Albert Schweitzer

Years pass and, sometimes, time runs out. This web site has been around for 12 years and most of that time I have been trying to create a space that will capture a brief but certainly not inconsequential time in our lives.

Psychology bemoans the fact that boys of today have no ritual of passage from boy to man. We did.

This is not a web site about the Passionists. They, fortunately, provided the structure and hierarchy which allowed our ritual of passage.

This is a web site about profound internal change in all of us who were exposed to Normandy, Warrenton, St. Paul, Detroit, Louisville, St. Meinrad's, CTU. This is a place for you to share with others what that was about for you.

I have added mine with the link to the right. I wrote this shortly after the 2006 reunion while the experience was still fresh and that is how I still feel today. You needn't be as verbose, philosophical, or schmaltzy as I, but do send me something that captures the impact of that time for you. It's your comments that others will want to read, whatever they may be, however they are written.

You can e-mail me a document and I will add that link to the right sidebar.

As our years pass, let the world know that those years passed with purpose or without, with tragedy or bliss.  When time does run out, your thoughts will still be here.
